A possible postal strike or lockout is looming for Canada Post as early as July 2.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) is currently in 21-day “cooling off” period after seven months of negotiations failed to reach a new collective agreement on June, 10. The union is still in the midst of negotiations but will be in a position to strike after midnight on July 2 if no deal is reached at that point.
